  • The Campus Sculpture Program was born out of several donors’ desire to acquire acclaimed outdoor sculptures for Davidson’s campus. The campus sculpture program has historic roots that date back to 1954 when Doug Houchens and the Fine Arts Committee sought funding to bring permanent works of art for the campus. Dedicated in 2007, the garden now features four sculptures: William Tucker’s Homage to Rodin (1999); Antony Gormley’s You (2005); and Joel Shapiro's Untitled (1995), and Magdalena Abakanowicz The Group of Ten (2011).
