North Carolina's craft beer scene has grown at an astonishing rate in the past decade and isn't stopping yet. Lake Norman's latest project includes a 17-barrel brauhaus and restaurant in Cornelius from the most ordered and sold craft beer in Charlotte -- Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Check out our Beer and Wine Trail map and become immersed in the wine and craft beer scene by not only stopping by many of the area's wineries and breweries, but also checking out local tasting events and festivals.
 

Social Districts

Social districts are defined outdoor, common areas in which a person may consume alcoholic beverages sold by permitted establishments (e.g., bars, breweries, restaurants) in designated containers. A social district may include both indoor and outdoor areas of businesses within the defined district during the days and hours established for the social district.
