         Scottish Festival and Loch Norman Highland Games

This event is a celebration of Scottish culture and heritage.
The two-day event features competitions and attractions
like clachneart throwing, turning of the caber, 
tossing, highland dancing, battle axe contests,
 kilt races, bagpipes, whisky seminars, traditional Scottish folk
music, and authentic fare and libations.

and is an annual family-oriented event for the Asian
and non-Asian community throughout the Carolinas.
The festival celebrates Asian cultures, diversity,
ty, roots and history.

 My Aloha Paddle & Surf, in partnership with Ray Evernham,
will host Stand Up for Autism benefitting the IGNITE
community center and the Autism Society of North Carolina
on Lake Norman. The event will feature Elite and
Recreational races, which are open to the general public. 

                   Living History Events at Latta Plantation

Throughout the year, Latta Plantation in Huntersville, NC
holds reenactments from a number of different battle and
wars. These events are a unique opportunity to learn about history in an interesting and exciting way!

The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra

  June 17 & 25

Founded in 1932, the Charlotte Symphony is the largest and most active professional performing arts organization in the central Carolinas, giving nearly 70 performances each season and reaching an annual attendance of 130,000 listeners.

On June 17 the Charlotte Symphony will be
coming to the Duke
EnergyExplorium! The concert
can be heard on site, or on the lake by boat!

Charlotte Symphony will be returning June 25 to
Bailey Road Park. Fireworks will be held after the concert!

                                          Warrior Dash

 Warrior Dash is the world's largest obstacle race series,
held on the most rugged terrain in more than 50 locations
across the globe. Participants earn their Warrior helmet by tackling a fierce 3-4 mile course and 12 extreme obstacles.
After conquering the Battleground, Warriors celebrate with
turkey legs, beersteins,and live music at a post-race party!

Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Elliott Sadler,
and part time Nationwide Series drivers will be signing autographs throughout the day. In order to receive an
autograph, you must have a wristband for each respective
driver. Beginning at 8am, 300 wristbands for each driver
will be distributed in separate lines.

Sheepdog Trials & Dog Festival

November 12-13
       What better way to wrap up the fall season than with your
canine pal and several hundred of their new best friends?
Bring your family, friends, and dog(s) to this fun filled
festival for one of the area's best known dog events!
