Hawthorne's New York Pizza & Bar

Hawthorne's provides a family-friendly atmosphere as soon as you step into their establishment. One of their most popular specialty pizzas is the "Buffalo Wing Pizza", aka 'The Inducer'! If you're curious about where the nickname comes from, we suggest to stop by and ask of their crew members! With a location in Cornelius and Huntersville, Mama's Pizza Express is an ideal place to order your pizza from. Some say it's a hidden gem in the area so much so that it reminds New York natives, who've moved to the area, of authentic NY pizza. Based on reviews, people highly recommend getting the "Grandma Pie" which consists of thin crust pan pizza with 'San Marzano' imported tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, oregano and basil. Mama's is also one of the few pizza joints in the area that offer authentic garlic sauce. 

Mandolino's Artisan Pizza

208 South Main Street, Davidson

Mandolino's is the second restaurant owned by the group at Flatiron Kitchen+Taphouse in the heart of Davidson. Their sheet pan pizza is scratch-made and brick-oven baked at 700 degrees, more commonly known as "Grandma Style Pizza." Two of their popular pies are "Pigs on the Wing" which comes with red sauce, mozzarella, Italian sausage and fennel, and the "Tupelo Honey" which comes with ricotta, gorgonzola, fig honey, calabrian, chiles, and thyme. If you're one who likes to eat different pizzas in one sitting, you can split the pie in half so you're able to enjoy a variety of delicious toppings. 

Maola's Pizzeria

Located close to downtown Cornelius, Maola's specializes in serving authentic Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. They offer a great selection of original family recipes with a mixture of specialty pizzas including the "Classic Grandma" and "Sicilian" pizzas. If you happen to give them a visit on a Tuesday then children under 12 eat free with each adult entree or on Wednesday then you can enjoy half priced bottles of wine. Wine Wednesday's are better with pizza!

Prosciutto's Pizzeria Pub

20920 Torrence Chapel Rd, Cornelius

Proscuitto's is a family-owned restaurant that offers gourmet NY Style brick-oven pizzas from fresh ingredients. Their atmosphere is enjoyed by many people including football fans because they have ALL the Sunday games! Their "Milano Pizza" comes with chicken, bacon, mushrooms and mozzarella over alfredo sauce which makes for a unique twist. Their "Boston Cheesesteak" pizza is one to please, but don't worry, if you don't eat meat, they have a delicious specialty vegetarian pizza that topped with mushrooms, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and fresh black olives. 

Rocky's Pizza Restaurant

Rocky's has been a popular Huntersville pizzeria for a while now and they continue to evolve to continue satisfying customers who walk into their doors. People praise their delivery service, so if you're one who prefers to have pizza delivered to the front door, then this is your place! Not only do they have the classic toppings and specialty pizzas, but they're able to accommodate a vegetarian diet as well as offer gluten-free options.
