It's been over a year since the world started experiencing unprecedented times. Within the last year, many of us experienced a variety of changes, some good and others bad. It's safe to say that our Lake Norman community took on these hardships head on and were there for each other when we needed it most. Local businesses partnering up like Kindred and Summit Coffee's drive-thru stand were beautiful to see. As we near the end of the pandemic, we'd like to highlight changes that local hospitality partners have had to make in the last year.
Changes in Operations for Attractions
Aloha Paddle Sports - Kayak and paddleboard reservations are required using their online booking system. Available Wednesday through Sunday from 9am-5pm.
Carolina Raptor Center - Raptor Trail is open Wednesday through Sunday. Morning session runs from 10am-12:30pm and afternoon session runs from 1:30pm-4pm.
Charlotte Cycleboats - Private cruises for groups of up to 15 people are available.
Davidson Community Players - Auditions are taking place for shows scheduled later this year.
Discovery Place Kids - Open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:30am-4:30pm. Ticket reservations must be made online.
Frankies of Charlotte - Only adults who are 18 years and older will be permitted to be inside Frankie’s after 6pm. Prior to 6pm, individuals under the age of 18 must be with a parent at all times.
Historic Latta Plantation - Site is open Wednesday through Saturday for self-guided tours only between 10am-4:30pm and Sunday from 1pm-4:30pm.
Joe Gibbs Racing - Gift shop and viewing area remain closed to the public until further notice.
Out of Time Escape - All games should be pre-booked on their website up to 2 hours prior to game time. Only one game group is currently allowed in the lobby.
Warehouse Performing Arts Center - All performances remain paused until further notice due to COVID-19.
Changes in Operations for Restaurants
COWBOY Restaurant - Closed until further notice.
Il Bosco Ristorante - Only open for dinner from Wednesday through Saturday starting at 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
Kindred Restaurant - Open for dinner from Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5pm.
Lotus Soul Cafe - Remains closed to the public. Wellness classes are being held virtually.
Piper's at Galway Hooker - Open for dinner from Tuesday through Saturday starting at 4pm. Sunday hours are from 10am-3pm.
The Harp & Crown - Currently open for dinner from Tuesday through Friday starting at 3pm. Brunch starts at 10am on weekends.
