Stand Up for Autism Paddleboard Race

Get excited to attend an event for a cause at the Annual Stand Up for Autism Aloha Paddleboard Race held in May, hosted by Aloha Paddle & Surf.  In partnership with NASCAR champion crew chief Ray Evernham, the IGNITE program and National Autism Society of North Carolina benefit from an exhilarating event in Cornelius. Local waterfront restaurant, Port City Club hosts the pre-event charity gathering with a kickoff party a day before the paddle racing event with live auctions, music and fabulous food. Stick your toes in the sand with a drink in your hand as you prepare for a fun weekend of outdoor adventure.

Public spectators can enjoy the paddle races that launch in the beautiful morning hours on Lake Norman. The races are held by the World Paddle Association and is a favorite summer event to attend with activities for all ages. Be sure to participate in the post-race traditional Hawaiian luau, with food, music, hula dancing, games and entertainment.

The charity event is a great way to learn more about Stand Up Paddleboarding while raising awareness for Autism, a great combination!
