Fireworks will light up the skies in every direction, accompanied by the glowing lights from boats on the water—a truly magical sight. If you're heading out on the lake, be sure to check that your navigation lights are working and drive slowly, as this is one of the busiest nights of the year.

Symphony in the Park and Fireworks

Thousands join Bailey Road Park each summer for an evening with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra at the Bailey Road Park Bandshell. Patriotic, classical and pop performances are followed by a thrilling fireworks display (weather permitting). There is no charge for this family-friendly event! Field of Flags Summer Celebration

Lowe's YMCA is hosting their annual summer celebration at Mooresville. The first part of their event is Field of Flags, which will be on the front lawn of the YMCA from July 2nd to 5th, and is open for visiting anytime of day. Each flag will have a tag with the name of a veteran, fallen or active service member or first responder. The next part of the event is their annual fireworks display. The entire event will be held on July 3rd at 6pm. There will be food trucks and live music, followed by the fireworks at 9:15pm.

License-Free Fishing Day

Free Fishing Day offers residents and out-of-state visitors the opportunity to fish without having to purchase a license, however, all other fishing regulations apply, such as length and daily possession limits, as well as bait and tackle restrictions. North Carolina’s annual free fishing day, which always falls on July 4, was created to promote the sport of fishing.
Fireworks
The Peninsula Club has finished its course renovations, so keep an eye out for fireworks to return there this year! Firework displays are also expected at Trump National Golf Club (Cocktail Cove) and the Lake Norman Yacht Club. While these events are for members only, the shows can still be enjoyed from the lake or nearby public areas.
Lake Norman is sure to come alive for the 4th of July. Whether you're looking for a parade, fireworks, or a place to wet a line and relax, there's plenty to do for the whole family!
