With many race shops surrounding the banks of the lake, there is one headquartered in Huntersville that needs to be placed on the racing tour itinerary. Joe Gibbs Racing is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and other attractions and less than 20 miles to Charlotte, Mooresville, and the Speedway. Joe Gibbs started his career in football, coaching the Washington Redskins and turned to racing in 1992. As the years went by, the team expanded with multiple cars to the current teams you see today. Joe Gibbs Spring Cup teams include Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth.

If you stop by at the right moment, you may be able to catch a glimpse and even chat with Mr. Gibbs himself. Get a bird’s eye view of the race shop garage below to see the cars being built.
