Hitting the road in an RV has turned into one of America's popular, yet practical way of traveling. The first documented cross country trip in an RV was in 1915 when the Conklin family departed New York to head to California, which ended up taking them two months to complete. Today, more than 46 million people, including first-time campers, plan on taking an RV trip within the next year. For those that plan on camping nearby, we've put together a list of campgrounds around Lake Norman.
