Looking for a fun family outing to get out of the house this summer? Family movie nights are back in Lake Norman and they are the best way to enjoy the beautiful summer nights. Leave your normal Netflix routine at home and come out for an unforgettable experience!


 

Outdoor Cinema Series

The 2022 Outdoor Cinema Series by Cornelius Parks and Recreation has returned this summer. The movies will be displayed on an inflatable screen in parks across the Lake Norman area. Gates open at 6:30 pm and the movies begin at dusk (approximately 8:30 pm). Admission is free and concessions will be available from food trucks and local beer vendors. Other fun activities such as face painting, yard games, a splash pad, and cornhole are available to make for a memorable night.

This summer’s schedule includes “Sing 2” (August 20th) in Robbins Park and “TBD” (October 29th) in Bailey Road Park. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and are welcome to bring their own coolers and picnic baskets to snack on while you watch!

Movies in the Park also has many great movie options coming up this summer at Veterans Park in Huntersville. It is open to the public and free of charge. All movies will begin at dusk. The upcoming movie lineup includes "Spider Man No Way Home" (July 8th), "Sing 2" (August 12th), "12 Strong" (September 9th), and "Goosebumps" (October 28th). It is recommended to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to comfortably enjoy the night.
