Looking to try your hand at making some delicious Mexican food at home? Well, bring out your chef hat and apron and try out the recipe for Camarones Mestizo from Mestizo Contemporary Mexican Cuisine in Davidson. A delicious Mexican dish that's sure to please your family or any guests you might have over at your house.


1 Chipotle Chile

6 oz Mayo

2 tsp Rice vinegar

1 tsp Orange juice

A dash of Salt and pepper

Shrimp 26/30 - 10 

1/2 cup Potato starch 

1/2 cup Heavy cream 

1 tsp Garlic powder

1 tsp Onion powder

1/2 cup Olive oil 


Camarones Mestizo



Heat a pan and add olive oil 

In the meantime, marinate the shrimp with onion powder and bread it with the potato starch 

Add the shrimp to the skillet and fry. Put aside. 

For the sauce, add the chipotle chile, orange juice, rice vinegar and salt to a blender; mix and serve. In a separate container, add the mayonnaise and stir with a spoon until smooth. Refrigerate for a few minutes.

To serve, set a plate with spring mix salad, then add the shrimp and the dressing!
